Today I spent planning some of the components for my trip to Pakistan for the next month. I purchased plenty of toiletries (i.e., code word for Pepto and assorted OTC drugs). Next, I checked on the monetary conversion rate ($1 = 86 Pakistani Rupees), although I have no idea what anything actually costs in Pakistan....
Next, I called the airlines to see if there is anyway I could get aisle seats on the 30 hour trip to Chicago from Austin, then to Abu Dabi, then to Islamabad, then to Lahore. No luck. I hope I can find a good massage therapist in Pakistan to fix my back....
I will be working at Foreman Christian College in Lahore on issues involving management, strategy, financial governance and administrative operations. All good work to help the institution thrive. This will be an adventure for sure.... And one I am fortunate to be experiencing.
